Weight Loss Again?!

I wanted to talk a bit about weight loss.  Every year I go out and try a new diet. I lose weight, gain it back, and lose it again. It’s a never-ending cycle. I have finally something worth while. I decided to take a 6 week class that was provided for free by my library called “Lose Weight and Keep It Off”. It is done online so it makes it a lot easier for me. The teacher gives a lot of good advice.

This time around I’m not actually dieting, just more watching what I eat. More veggies, without giving up all the other stuff that I like. Just doing it all in portions and not overeating. Also, you learn more about yourself and your eating habits, different ways to deal with stress, creating exercise and food goals that you can live with, and how sleep could be effecting your cravings.

Since I’ve been taking the class I have lost 5 pounds and I am into week 5. I have about 36 pounds to go before I reach my main weight goal. Heck 10 more pounds and I’m happy! I think the extra weight is causing me some major back problems. I believe that is the cause of things, though I could be wrong. Maybe my back is just mad at me for the prior abuse of labor in my youth. Who knows! The weight loss can only benefit and make me healthier. That is the major goal, to be healthy and be able to keep with my daughter.

Check out or your library and see if they have anything like that available. They also have a bunch of different courses you can take for self-improvement or just for fun! I stick mainly with the courses that are free to me (I’m pretty broke) but they have other classes that you pay for if that is what you really wanted to do.

So go out there, learn something new, if you want (not holding a gun to your head) and have fun!

NWLP-Week 8

Hello world! I am a week and half behind. Wow time flies when unexpected things happen in life. Okay, so I have not weighed in since the last time I posted. I don’t think I’ve been losing weight as much as I should be.. I only exercised twice last week. I pulled a muscle in my shoulder that rendered me incapable of much movement of my left shoulder for a few days.  Can you believe I did it sneezing?! Yes! I sneezed, tried really hard not to get it everywhere (luckily I was at home) and I pulled a freakin’ muscle! Honestly, I did not plan on sharing that with the rest of the world, but I’m sure some people can relate, I hope. I know at least one other person who has injured themselves while sneezing.

Recent events have also caused me to look for employment, yet again. I was told I was no longer needed two days prior. Isn’t that nice! I am over it, now. I have been looking for work, part-time, so that I can at least be available for my daughter when she needs me and be close to home.

Enough about that. I noticed the other day, I was able to get into an old pair of jeans that I haven’t worn in about a year. Which is great news! Like I said, I don’t feel like I’m losing the weight I should, but I am toning up quite a bit. Especially my legs, doing squats, pliate (why does plate come up for the correction of this spelling? Not sure if it’s spelled properly, so I apologise to the dancers out there) squats, really does wonders for your legs.  Of course moving after a strenuous workout is hard, but I always feel so much better for it.

For those of you actually following along stick with it. I am, I try my best anyway. As long as you stay active and exercise at least 3 times a week I think you will do just fine. Starting Over…Again?

Hello world I am back from a long hiatus of being on the net.  Wondering what I was doing?  Having fun with the family and getting to know my books much better.  I love my books.  I will tell you more about those later. 

I have not been exercising for the past 2 months.  I threw my back out again…but it’s getting better and I am hoping to be able to exercise again.  I hate not exercising.  Also I have been off my diet plan (okay tracking my food, really), but I haven’t been doing it.  I should have lost a lot more weight than I have.  Since the last time I was here, I’ve only lost 1 more lb.  However, I will be getting back on track.

I will come back some time during the week prior to my regular friday updates to talk books, once I finish reading through the Anita Blake series again.

Hello world. Well, here it is. My blog is up and running, of sorts. This is where I will be posting various topics. Nothing life changing. Maybe comments from others will help me develop my nonexistent writing skills. At this given moment I am unable to pin down an exact topic for my blog so bear with me, as I have different interests and can’t seem to just choose one. Part of being a Libra is the inability to make decisions. I hope you enjoy what I write and leave comments if you want.
